April Ordaz, LMT
Massage Therapist

April Ordaz has proudly called Colorado home for the past 10 years. She graduated from the Massage Therapy program at IntelliTec College in Grand Junction and is honored to be part of the experienced, collaborative team at Healing Horizons.
Before pursuing a career in massage therapy, April followed her passion for the outdoors by working with the U.S. Forest Service and State Parks, helping maintain hiking trails throughout Northern California, Nevada, and Hawaii. She also worked in a variety of horticultural roles, further strengthening her appreciation for nature and the healing it can provide. It was during this time that she experienced the therapeutic benefits of massage firsthand, inspiring her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others heal.
April specializes in massage techniques that promote deep relaxation, believing that a calm and balanced nervous system creates the foundation for the body's natural healing process. She offers Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) using the Vodder Method, tailoring each session to meet the individual needs and goals of her patients.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, rhythmic technique designed to support the lymphatic system by encouraging healthy fluid movement throughout the body. This specialized therapy can help reduce pain and inflammation, improve circulation of metabolic waste, and calm the nervous system. MLD may benefit individuals experiencing migraines, sinus headaches, tinnitus, fibromyalgia, lymphedema, arthritis, and, with physician approval, post-surgical swelling and recovery.
April is committed to continuing her education and expanding her knowledge of therapeutic massage so she can provide the highest quality care to her patients. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time in nature and exploring the beautiful landscapes that first inspired her journey into the healing arts.
