Gloria Palefsky, LPN, CINHC

Licensed Practical Nurse Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach “Integrative nutrition is about personally discovering what nourishes you, what feeds you, and ultimately what makes your life extraordinary.”

Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Gloria Palefsky started her career in the health and wellness world as a nurse. After studying nursing for two years in the Philippines and completing her schooling when she moved to Montrose, Colorado in 1992, she worked for 25 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She has experience in medical surgical, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, geriatric, and urgent care.
After years of caring for patients with chronic health issues, illnesses, stress, and fatigue, Gloria became tired of administering pills every day, 40 hours a week, in hospitals and nursing homes. She witnessed patient after patient become frustrated and sick of taking drugs without truly knowing the underlying root cause of their symptoms.

Gloria became inspired to tackle these issues at the source and help people in a more preventative way. She returned to school and became a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach with the goal of helping her clients overcome symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, loss of appetite, lack of sleep, brain fog, and more through proper, balanced nutrition. As part of the Healing Horizons team, Gloria is dedicated to guiding clients on a transformative experience where they will learn:
-Meal planning and nutrition strategy
-How to deconstruct cravings
-Best practices for cooking as a couple
-Tips for an energy-boosting, anti-inflammatory diet
-How your spirituality, finances, physical activity, career, relationships, education, social life, home environment, joy, and creativity affect your health

Outside of work, Gloria practices her own self-care through a regular weekly gym routine, hiking, soaking at the Ouray Wiesbaden Vapor Caves, and spending quality time with her husband and two kids. As a former professional singer in Japan, Saipan, Pohnpei FSM, and Philippines, she uses those skills to perform in Montrose and Ouray twice a year to raise money to support the orphanage in Camuigan Island, Philippines. She speaks Tagalog, Spanish and Japanese as well.
