Actions and Indications: Nourish kidney-yin; suppress hypertension and anxiety due to stress, hectic fever and night sweat, thirst, internal heat in the lungs; moisturize dryness which causes constipation; treat impotence and insufficient erection due to adrenal deficiency; reduce swelling.
Cautions and Contraindications: It should not be given to patients with diarrhea and should be administered with caution since when taken in excess it can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure.
